Acacia Trees Kenya Landscape - Woven Tapestry
Acacia Trees Kenya Landscape — Woven Tapestry
Have you ever been somewhere that you never even dreamed of seeing? Not necessarily because you didn’t want to go, but because you never saw a way for that dream to turn into a reality. — That was northern Kenya for me. I never dreamed of traveling outside of Nairobi because I thought getting to the capital was big enough of a dream. But when I got to northern Kenya, all I could do was pinch myself that I was seeing such beauty that I never knew existed outside of a NatGeo special. So, for the weaving of #100moredaysofphotostofibers, I drew inspiration from this photo I took in northern Kenya as a reminder to not confine my dreams out of fear to only those that I think are obtainable. Because whenever I have been scared and dared to dream anyway —- the surprises just outside of my comfort zone have delighted my soul.
I set out to paint with fiber this breathtaking view by mixing all the bold + subtle oranges, greens, blues + neutrals.
For #the100dayproject, my original photos will also be available for purchase. If you would like to purchase the print of the Acacia Trees, it is available here.
Size: 24”W x 25”H
Color: Sky, Fjord, Aleutian + Belize Blue, Forest, Olive, Celery + Crocodile Green, Latte, Chantelle, Terracotta, Natural + Snow on a reclaimed branch
Previously Sold. If you want me to recreate something similar, please contact me.

With every sale, you choose a project you would like to support. My hope is that it would connect you to some incredible work that is being done around the world. Together, we are #knotjustthreads, we are an interwoven tapestry and when we come together, beautiful things can happen.
I have been intentional with the organizations I have chosen to support. I know that it is not only important to know where the money goes, but to know that the work is being done in sustainable ways to produce a long-lasting impact. Having personally partnered with each of these organizations in the field, I have seen how they practice love in action.
